Innovative Strategies Group

Enough is enough! For over two decades, the business community has reengineered, restructured, reorganized, revitalized, rightsized, and downsized its organizations. Today, many business executives acknowledge that these activities, although sometimes necessary and important for short-term profitability, have not led to growth for their firms* . Increasingly, they want to develop and implement strategies to expand their revenue by being more focused on their customers. They want to build broader and deeper relationships with their existing customers, and they want to find new customers.

The Innovative Strategies Group

The Innovative Strategies Group was founded to help organizations bring their growth plans into focus. We are a collection of talented and experienced professionals who focus on helping companies expand. We believe that the time has come to focus on growth in revenue rather than focus on downsizing.

Our role is to help organizations define and characterize their customers, and to develop strategies to broaden and deepen their revenue streams. By understanding the traditional customers and the value that they perceive from the past relationships, we work to introduce new products and services to them. We focus on what customers value, leading to expansion into new markets with new customers, including expansion into the global marketplace.

Innovation drives growth. Every successful new product or service has a uniqueness that overcomes the difficulty of acceptance by prospects. For lasting success, the original and innovative offering becomes the standard, while new products and services are sought to respond to the ever-changing needs of customers. Our mission is to lead clients in developing and implementing innovative growth strategies.

* The Wall Street Journal reported (April 9, 1997, page B-1) that firms that had significant downsizing in 1989 – 1993 outperformed the S&P 500 Index for six months, and then under-performed the S&P 500 by 24% during the next three years.
